The Rust Bucket Banger Rally 2008
St Malo - Dijon - Zurich - Innsbruck - Le Spezia - Monte Carlo
Fancy doing a banger rally across Europe, well the RustBucket Rally is coming to Guernsey. The rally will be an annual event to help Aid Reaching Children raise funds for their projects around the world. This year the rally will be to Monte Carlo, leaving St Malo travelling through France to Dijon then the next day moving on to Zurich and Innsbruck. Day 3 will see us arriving in Le Spezia and the last day will end up in Monte Carlo just in time for the World Championship Pyrotechnics Competition.
The rally will be held 22nd July 2008 until 25th July 2008. The cost of entry will be £200 this is for the car with 2 or 4 occupants but there must be at least 2 qualified drivers with at least one years driving experience. All participants will be responsible for all their travel, hotel, camping expenses and the required safety equipment and insurance. The banger MUST cost less than £200 but MUST be roadworthy and if entering from England must carry a valid MOT.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position. This is not a race and points will be awarded for the challenges on the way to Monte Carlo, if your banger makes it.
