‘WALK ON WATER TO HERM’

The Ultimate Challenge comes to Guernsey for the first time and will take place in August. The Nuclear Globe is used in the same way as a hamster ball on water. All entrants must be able to swim. (just in case). If you have the stamina and strength to walk 3 miles to Herm this is the event for your team. We are looking for teams to enter this Ultimate Challenge. You will need 4 people in a team. There are only 4 Nuclear Globes so we are running preliminary rounds in June and July and the 12 fastest teams win the chance to do the first part of the challenge which is to go across Havelet Bay from the castle to the gents bathing pool. This will be the test run to decide the final 4 for the Ultimate Challenge to Herm in August. Some people say we'll never do it. LETS PROVE THEM WRONG.

The preliminary rounds will take place at either the bathing pools or the model yacht pond. Venues and times will be given to you before your heat. Sponsorship Forms will be sent to you once you have registered. These rounds will take place on weekends and some evenings through June and up to the 22nd July when the next part of the challenge will take place.

All you need is a team of 4 with the minimum sponsorship of £100 a team. If you can raise more thats a bonus. Forms and money are to be given in at the start of your heats. Get your bank,business and friends to sponsor your team. There is a weight restriction of 230Ibs.

Planning this event is difficult as we have to work with the tidal conditions and weather so change of dates may occur. Please bare with us we will try to keep to the confirmed dates. No specific dates can be given at the moment but the first rounds will start in June, we will let you know when your heat will take place.

Get your teams together and register as soon as possible as already we have had a lot of interest. Don't forget its the 4 fastest teams that will take the Ultimate Challenge
