DEN DEN'S STORY This 14 year old girl was born in the Philippines and lives on a small island from the mainland. She was born with severe facial deformities and has only one eye. Most of her life she has lived secluded from the other children as they ridiculed her and she felt she couldn’t face the world. Up until recently she had never had her photograph taken. Two colleagues of Linda Garnham approached A.R.C and it was decided that we would help to get her surgery to rectify the problems.
Den Den ( real name Ann Marie) said her one wish was to look pretty like her sister. A.R.C have now arranged for her to have scans and tests in preparation for her operations. We have now also been able to find a sponsor from England who is helping with the cost of the operations. We will keep you updated on Den Den’s progress. Update Den Den has now had the first stage of her operation. She is recovering well and we will have photo's of her soon. It is with regret that we have to let you know that Den Den's mum passed away last month. We are so pleased that her mum was able to see her go through her operation and see her beautiful young daughter with her new looks and also knowing that her daughters dream had come true. We would like to pass on our deepest sympathies to Den Dens family.
