I was of the fortunate individuals who helped out during the initial phase of your Southeast Asia Appeal. Then while working in Sri Lanka, I was able to witness its fruition firsthand. You are doing an outstanding job in helping these people in the dauntless manner that is so characteristic of you. My sincere wishes for every success as you continue your work in the region. Many from Guernsey will remember me as the American girl who came over to help in the Ben & Craig Appeal. Things change in people's lives and unfortunately I was unable to return to Guernsey to see these boys thru their operations and trauma. I knew in me heart hat Linda would make sure all would be done that was necessary....as she did. Nothing that she has done, either for Ben & Craig, the Indian Appeal, Kosovo, the Santa Run as well as the Shoe Box drive, has ever been done to be able to see her face on the front of a newspaper. If anything, she would rather stay in the background and allow credit to go to all of the wonderful people whom have volunteered their time and efforts to make her dreams come true. To those who truely can't see Linda for the person that she is, and the "love" and "caring" for children that motivates her to spend the majority of her life sticking out a helping hand...hopefully one day, you will come to appreciate her for the person that she truly is....just as I do, and say....Thank You, Linda"
